Thai Course 

As a licensed and recognized language school under the Ministry of Education, AUA can assist in securing on non-immigrant ED visa for the duration of your study with us. The ED visa is a non-immigrant visa for the purpose of study and is normally valid for 90 days from the date of your arrival in Thailand. Application for this visa must be made outside of Thailand at a Thai Consulate or Embassy. At the Thai Consulate or Embassy, you will be required to submit a Letter of Acceptance from the Education Office of Chiang Mai provided by AUA.

Letter of Acceptance

In order for AUA to issue the Letter of Acceptance, we require at least one month after we receive the following documents:

1. 2 forms; Applicant Data ad Purpose Notification filled out and signed by the prospective students (AUA will send you the forms by e-mail. After completing the forms, please mail them back.)
2. A copy of every page of passport with record (mail with above forms)
3. A copy of your education certificate/diploma (mail with above forms)
4. one 2-inch picture (mail with above forms)
5. Your present mailing address for AUA to mail the Letter to you
6. Planned term dates of study
7. Location (country & city) of Consulate or Embassy where you will apply for the visa
8. Deposit of the tuition fees: Deposit 11,000 baht into our bank account for your consecutive 2 terms of study in group classes. These enrollment fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Long term study (1 year of stay)

Extending your visa after 90 days: Before your second term of study ends, AUA will consider providing document support for  extending the visa under the following conditions:

1. You must have a valid ED visa stamped in your passport.
2. You must have a good class attendance record.

You should pay the balance fee (either 14,000 baht or 17,000 baht) before AUA gives you the necessary documents. These fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. With necessary documents from AUA, you must apply and pay the visa extension fee (1,900 baht) at the Immigration Office when you apply for an extension. You may have to do one or two more extension.

Please note that failure to complete the course of study within the time period you specify will result in loss of those hours. In addition, we will use our discretion in notifying the related Thai authorities which may result in cancellation of your visa.

Fax or send AUA a scanned copy of the bank deposit slip via e-mail once the deposit has been made. Our fax number is +66 (0)53 211973.

Please note that a fee will be deducted by the bank during transfer. AUA will issue you a receipt with the actual amount received in the AUA bank account. You must pay the amount of bank fee when you arrive at AUA to register for classes.
